  • Beginners and Intermediate Millinery
    Make your own beautiful hat using traditional millinery techniques taught by one of Australia's leading milliners. These small classes are open to beginner and intermediate students, catering to different levels of experience. Students new to millinery will make a hat from start to finish, molding the millinery materials over the traditional wooden hat blocks using a variety of techniques.

  • Jin Sin WorkshopJin Sin Workshop
    In this 2-day workshop you will learn how to sculpt a headpiece (or 2!) with this contemporary millinery material. Milliner Georgina Conheady will show you how to twist and turn these fibres into some spectacular headwear.

  • Make a Small Hat
    Small hats are in! Make a fedora, pillbox, toy hat, beret or something of your own design. If you are a beginner you will learn some of the basics of traditional millinery or the more experienced student can try out more advanced techniques. It's a great weekend of learning and creative fun, producing a hat for Fashions on the field!

  • Silk Flowers
    Learn how to make beautiful silk flowers! In this workshop Georgina Conheady will show you how to work with silk and traditional French flower-making techniques and tools to create exquisite flowers.

  • Three-Day Millinery Intensive
    Make your own beautiful hat using traditional millinery techniques taught by one of Australia's leading milliners, Georgina Conheady. If you are a beginner you will learn some of the basics of traditional millinery, while the more experienced student can try out more advanced techniques. Three great days of learning and creative fun.

  • Sculpted HeadpiecesSculpted Headpieces
    Some call it a "hatinator", others an overgrown "fascinator". We call it a headpiece! Over this 2-day weekend course, learn how to sculpt with contemporary straw using traditional and new millinery techniques to make your own outstanding headpiece! Some of these techniques can also be applied to hat trimming.

  • Costume Millinery
    Milliner Louise Macdonald trained as a costume milliner in London. Following her studies she worked there with one of Europe's leading costume houses, making hats for many film television and theatre productions. This 2-day workshop is designed for people interested in costume for amateur dramatics, dance or wearable art. You'll learn some low cost millinery construction techniques for producing some out there headwear! There will also be guidance on how adapt, shape and resize existing headwear to create something new.

  • Mixed Media FlowersMixed Media Flowers
    Immerse yourself in petals in this 2-day workshop! Expert milliner and flower maker Georgina Conheady will show you how to make flowers from lace, leather, felt and ribbon as well as showing you some flower tinting techniques.
